Bishop Park offers everything from a boat ramp, picnic tables, basketball, and volleyball courts for athletes of all ages. Kayaking and airboat rides are available regularly to guests for exploring the varied wildlife and picturesque scenery of the great outdoors. Once you’ve enjoyed, there’s everything from berry picking to watersports to try. For the avid fishermen, the area is known for its high stock of large mouth basses. We’ll have you know that catching six to eight pounders is common around these parts. With an olive green appearance, the large mouth bass is the largest of the black bass fishes, reaching (record) length of 29.5 inches and (unofficial) weight of 25 pounds 1 ounce. In addition, the area offers a widespread of land based recreational activities for sportsmen.
A hunter’s paradise, Lake Placid also offers game such as duck, quail, pheasant, turkey, wild hog, among others.
